Rethinking Learning and Teaching: Transforming Practice through Evidence and Innovation

1st International Conference on Learning & Teaching 2027 · 20–21 January 2027 · Delhi, India

Higher education is entering a period of significant transformation. Artificial intelligence is redefining access to knowledge. Learners are engaging with information differently. Employers increasingly expect graduates to demonstrate adaptability, critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving rather than simply possess disciplinary knowledge. At the same time, advances in learning sciences are providing deeper insights into how attention, memory, motivation, practice and feedback influence learning.

These developments raise fundamental questions for educators and higher education institutions: What makes learning meaningful and lasting? How should teaching change when information is instantly accessible? What should assessment look like in an AI-enabled world? How can institutions create environments where effective teaching becomes a shared and sustained practice? How can we make student learning visible through authentic evidence of application and problem-solving?

The International Conference on Learning and Teaching 2027, organised by the Jaipuria Center for Learning and Teaching Advancement (CLTA), seeks to create a platform where educators, researchers, academic leaders, learning designers, practitioners and students exchange research, classroom practices, student learning evidence and institutional approaches that contribute to more meaningful and effective learning.

Against a backdrop of rapid change in higher education, the conference invites participants to examine how teaching, assessment, technology and institutional systems can be reimagined to strengthen student learning.
